L’il Aussie Prems was created in February 2007 and now has the largest support forum for premmie families in Australia.
The forum has almost 2,000 registered members with information and support available on a range of topics from feeding, milestones, special needs support, growth, microprems, failure to thrive, general chat & more. Join a supportive community with other premmie parents from around the world to chat and share your journey through the NICU and beyond.
The website has many interactive features available from premmie birth announcements, messages to hospitals, inspirational premmie information, then & now photos, premmies of the moment, birth stories & galleries & angel baby memorials.
L’il Aussie Prems holds a national event called “Green for Prems” each year on Facebook. The event is held on the first Wednesday in April each year. Families love celebrating the day and take many photos. Green wrist bands are also available with a choice of “I Love a Prem Miracle”, “Premmie & Proud” & “Green for Fremmies” wording, available on their website. They are a huge hit and are something unique to the prem community. Since the launch of the event in 2011, $5,000 has been donated to many different charities in support of the day.
