L’il Aussie Prems was created in February 2007 and now has the largest support forum for premmie families in Australia.
The forum has over 1,850 registered members with information and support available on a range of topics from feeding, milestones, special needs support, growth, microprems, failure to thrive, general chat & more. Join a supportive community with other premmie parents from around the world to chat and share your journey through the NICU and beyond.
The website has many interactive features available from premmie birth announcements, messages to hospitals, inspirational premmie information, then & now photos, premmies of the moment, birth stories & galleries & angel baby memorials.
L’il Aussie Prems holds a national event called “Green for Prems” each year on Facebook. The event in 2011 saw almost 20,000 accept to wear something green on the 6th April. Families loved the day and took many photos. Green wrist bands were also available with a choice of “I love a prem miracle”, “Premmie & proud” & “Green for premmies” wording. They were a huge hit and are something unique to the prem community.
